96 Sunfire

I have a 96 Sunfire SE, 2 door coupe. I am having problems with my headlights. I have no daytime lights ( when my car is in drive my lights would automatically turn on) but when I do turn my lights on I have only low beams. My high beams no long work. This all started yesterday and today my lights started to not work when they were on, started to flicker and not work at all.

Any help in this matter would be grateful. I took it to a shop and they said that i should just get all new wiring from GM and it's gonna be about $500.

Thanks,
Christie

Re: 96 Sunfire

That shop that said you need all new wiring sounds like they're full of it.

There should be a headlight relay and also a fuse. Check that.

I have the same problem in my 2002 cavalier. Have you found a solution?
