2003 trans

Have a 2003 silverado 2500hd 4x4 and when the trans is cool it will shift smooth, but when the temp gets up to 160 degrees it will start to shift real hard thru all gears. Is this a sensor problem or what?

What is mileage and service and repair history?
Any shift kits or programers on it?

What are the up shift mph on a normal take off?

Any check engine lights?

You need to get it on a transmission capable scanner and get codes and see what is going on.
Post back any engine or transmission codes.

Re: 2003 trans

The truck has 88000 miles on it. Does not have any shift kits or programer. The shift points are from 16-25 mph and from 30 -37 mph. Did a filter & fulid check and it seemed to be ok. Have not had time to put it on a scanner yet.
