Earth Strap Location
Can someone please give me directions on where to find the 'earth straps' on a Renault Megane Scenic 1 (1997 RT 1.6)
I've read a number of forums diagnosing the exact symptoms my car has. Intermittently dead, flickering dash, battery totally fine, sometimes a swift jolt (eg: slam door) brings electrics back to life. I think my earth strap/s must be coroded and/or loose but I dodn't know where to find them, what they look like, and how to access them. Please help! |

Hi,
Im not sure where they are located on your car, but look around under the bonnet around the engine block or the body of car for a strap that is bolted to the body work under the bonnet or on the engine block....looks like a braided metal possibly with black casing around it. Also look under the car if you can there maybe 2 straps. Check battery earth too. Hope this helps. |
