Re: Wiring up a trailer light plug

My '97 came from the factory with a harness in the center of the rear bumper area. The wires were pig-tailed, and had a lable on them stating what color was for which lead (right tail light, brake, etc). So, look under there to see if you have the same thing. If so, you only need to attach the receiver end of the plug to the wires.

Re: Wiring up a trailer light plug
I have a2004 S10 blazer. I took a quick look under there and didn't see anything but I'll look a little harder for it , I may have overlooked it. It did not come with the towing package. I have added the ball.
Thanks |

I seem to recall mine was bundled up and tie-wrapped to the main harness running across the back, underneath the tail-gate area.

Re: Wiring up a trailer light plug
Check for a connecter in the taillight wiring harness on the drivers sideframe rail behind the rear wheel- that's how my S10 p/us are.You can get an adapter that plugs right into the harness there and gives you the four wire plug for a small trailer .
