hi i have a 91 camaro and i put a aftermarket tach in but on the distributer cap the a plug wit a brown wire white wire black wire and purple wire and on the other side theres another plug with a thick red one and a white one soo which one should i use?

On the cap itself where the 2 wires connect it should say "Bat" (red wire) and "TACH" (white)
If not the BAT wire is the power supply and closest to the front of the motor where as the TACH wire is the one closest to the rear. Do not splice into the 4 wire harness! |

the 91 has a divorced coil hei ignition. there is no BAT or TACH hookups on the cap. you need to splice into the white wire that goes to the igniton coil
