95 audi a6 heater blower problems

Hi, I have a 1995 audi a6. I have had a really hard time on finding instructions on how to remove the heater/blower motor. I looked at it and had no clue where to start. If someone chould get me some steps on how to remove one and put one in that would be great. I live in mn so this is something i have to do before it gets cold, haha. Thank-you very MUCH!!!

Smile Re: 95 audi a6 heater blower problems

Hi there,

The heater blower removal is quite complicated and requires removal of the glove box, centre consul(part of it) and some lower dash parts.

My car 1996 A6 diesel has started blowing irratically but I think the problem is the sensor on the blower body.

If you remove the rain deflector you will see the blower sitting mid car. On one side of it theres a large block connector (on my car it's orange in colour) this is held in by two phillips screws. If you remove this you will find a ballast type unit or resisitor and I'm convinced that causes the problem.

I hope to pick one up from the local breakers so if it works I'll let you know.

Incidentally, at the same time the blower played up my wipres and indicators did too.

Good luck
