Porsche 959 1:24 Tamiya.

Hello, this was my first car (after about 10 years of staying out of the hobby), every comment and opinions are welcome. Body, interior, chassis, rims and engine are painted with Tamiya spray cans, the detailing was done with Model Master enamels and Tamiya acrylics. My actual project is a Porsche 944 Turbo from Hasegawa.

Saludos!!!

Welcome to AF!

It looks like a terrific return to the hobby for you, it came out very nicely.

The Hasegawa 944 is another very nice kit- we'll look forward to seeing your build of it.

Re: Porsche 959 1:24 Tamiya.

Hi Julio.

Indeed a very nice return to the hobby. I've built this car in the past and in my opinion it's not one of the best Tamiya kits out there.
So I have even more respect for you for getting this one to look so good.

I notably had problems with the fitment of the engine room lid. But it seems that you haven't had such problems, as the engine lid seems to fit very nicely.

Looking forward to your next build !

Re: Porsche 959 1:24 Tamiya.

Thank you very much for your comments.

Roby J.- I think, but am not shure, that only Tamiya produce a kit of this car and this is an old one. Maybe that is the reason that the subject is unusual.

DerXL.- I agree with you, in fact, I think this is one of the worst kits by Tamiya, but this car deserves a try. I don't know if Tamiya made adjustments to the mould, but I didn't have much trouble with the engine room lid. The kit in general had a good fit, not what we are used from Tamiya, but goog enough to make it more or less smoothly.

Saludos!!!
