01 radio and gear indicator problems

When the ignition is turned off the stock radio resets time and station but the presets remain in memory, also... the gear indicator on the instrument panel will not indicate witch gear the truck is in and the gear highlight (box around the correct gear) scrolls through the gears while driving.

I think the stations are stored in the radio in non-volatile memory whereas the time and last station are not. Default is usually 89.1 or something and 12:00, check your fuses. Not sure about the gear indicator.
