1/8 RF81 FF1600 Van Diemen
Hello again!
This was my third scratch-built project, made between July 2003 and July 2004. It's a Van Diemen RF81 Formula Ford 1600: ![]() ![]() ...and with the bodywork off: ![]() ![]() After making two RF82 FF2000's, the RF81 was a gentle change of direction. The cockpit and front end of the chassis are very similar to the 82, but the engine bay and rear suspension are completely different - a Kent 1600 motor and radius rods. I also wanted to put more detail into this one, so there are more bolt-heads, better brake calipers, etc. Again, having access to the full-size cars made life much easier! Hope you like it. Lots of work there! Came out real nice. Looks like something I would see running at a local autocross. I like it!

Realizing that it is 1/8 scale, you did one heck of a job making it look clean and realistic!
