Do I need anything special to put the LS1 engine into my 79' trans am?
I was looking at engines on some web sites and one of the engines that I was looking at was the LS1 engine I would LOVE to be able to put it into my trans am but I was wondering if I needed anything special such as special mounts or anything? I was also wondering if anyone out there has done this before? Thank you very much

As metioned, mounts for engine. you'll also need a different transmission and driveshaft (probably custom made)

So would a 4L60E transmission fit into the firebird cause I found some transmission crossmembers for an ls1 engine with this tranny?
