help with 2 problems please

I have a 1998 Z71 1500, first, my brakes pulse during stopping , i have replaced the rotors and pads twice with no results, i have replaced both front hub bearing assemblies because the ABS sensor failure with no results. i have not done anything with the rear drums or shoes, however i dont think that it is the back brakes.... i am suspecting rotor runout issue, do any of you have any ideas??? how do you cure rotor runout?? this probelm is driving me insaine.....
next, i have a steering issue , when driving at cruising speed the steering wheel "jerks" to the direction of the turn. it feels like the system that tightens the steering releases the tension, it is kind of dangerous, is there a electrical modual some where to replace or is it the power steering system ???? please please help . ... i will post the solution when i find it
thank you.

Don't think it's rotor runout, that would have been solved when you replaced your rotors. Can't help you there I have pulsating brakes too.

As for the steering problem check your pitman arms, I was experiencing a similar issue and found there was too much play in them after checking. I'll be replacing my pitman and idler arms this weekend, so I'll know if it fixes the issue.

Re: help with 2 problems please

New rotors are not necessarily true out of the box. Many times new ones need to be turned to get them right. Need to check the rear drums for warpage also.

On the steering issue. Look for a 2 wire harness at the bottom rear of the power steering pump. If you find it remove it from the pump. If the jerking goes away it's most likely the Steering Wheel Speed Sensor (EVO sensor). If you still have the issue it's most likely a mechanical problem.

Re: help with 2 problems please

Be sure to properly torque the lug nuts, especially on disc brakes. Your owners manual should show the torque specs. I agree that the steering problem is related to the EVO, those sensors on the steering column are famous for failing (fairly easy fix).
