Who has one i can buy? (Radio parts)

I need the mounting ears? for my 97 metro. Was no radio when i bought the car so bought a new radio and dont have the metal mounting brackets to install. Anyone able to help me out? Ive been searching ebay for the last 2 weeks and theres too much snow at the junk yards.

You could try http://car-part.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi and search for one, there's likely some wrecking yard nearby that has one. Alternatively you could call around to automotive stereo shops and see if one of them might have something laying in their scrap pile, they get a lot of demand for upgraded stuff and virtually nothing for stock stuff so might let go of one for cheap.

You could also put an ad in the auto parts section of craigslist looking for a radio - somebody has probably parted out a Metro, Prizm or tracker (I believe the radios are the same between them).

Are you installing a stock radio? If so I have 95 GEO that I took out
and to put in an after market stereo, the stock radio is in excellent condition, you can have it for free, just pay for postage.

no im not installing factory. I need the mounting tabs. I bought a new cd player, and the install kit from wally world but this car when I bought it, did not come with a radio or any of the mounting brackets for it...i have no way to secure it into the dash. Im looking for a radio that has the 4 screws on the sides of the radio like most of the geo radios found on ebay.

I may have what you are after. I'll take a picture and post it to you as soon as I find it. The piece that I have came off an aftermarket radio it just didn't fit in the space so I took it off and now thae radio does just fine.

Im still looking for the radio or just the metal mounts...i tried bidding on one on ebay but someone outbid me and I dont think the radio is worth anything over $20.

Eh, you can close this forum....I bought a new install kit at advance auto that had the tabs i needed...and got my new cd player installed.
