Block Heater on 1993
Anyone ever installed a block heater on one of the old 4 cylinder trucks? I don't think mine has one, but I think I need it with a recent rash of cold weather here in Atlantic Canada. I sometimes get a 4-5 second metal on metal sound when I start the truck on very cold mornings (and I run 100% synthetic oil). We're talking -15ºC or colder. Maybe a valve? Maybe a push rod?
Might sound silly, but where exactly would I look to see if there was a block heater already installed on the truck? I haven't seen any umbilical like cord hanging from the grill / front bumper. Thanks! |
