Final rebuild of Evo 3

Original

To this ..(can't remember why i take apart this beauty) h43r:

Then this!!!

Now the final version!

This car had gone under 3 rebuilds and this will be the final one. However, the finishing is not that good as the project had been pending for 2 years !! How time flies but I manage to finish it. Here are the list of modification and specification of the build.
i) Pearl Red Color
ii) GT Wing set from Fujimi (traded with a friend)
iii) Bonnet pins, handbrake, rear view mirror, steering, fire extinguisher,
rollcage from Toyota AE86 (Extra)
iv) Spare tyre, gear knob from Fujimi Evo VIII (Extra's)
v) Steel rims given by a friend (Looks like an Evo III RS)
vi) Recaro Set and front disc brake from Tamiya Evo VI
vii) Tinted Rear and side windows
viii) Rear absorbers/springs from Tamiya Evo VI Rally

Re: Final rebuild of Evo 3

I like it, the rims make it look like a sleeper. Taking off the mitsu decal on the front made it look much better. I liked it in dark silver.

Re: Final rebuild of Evo 3

Yes I agree the steel rims give model cars a more mainstream look. I have been looking for steel rims for such a long time (made resin copies of some 14 inch steelies) I would kill to have a set of steel rims off a Evo7 RS (I think those are 15 inch) but the local store is selling the kit for close to $40 CAD!!!

Re: Final rebuild of Evo 3

Well it definitely has been evolving.
Kinda reminds of a 1,3-or-something litre Lancer with a huge-ass wing, though.

Nice model anyway.

Re: Final rebuild of Evo 3

It looks good, very sleeper like which is always nice and it looks clean. Think i perfer the old wing though.
