Turbo V6 checking in

I noticed some hits on my web page linking back here. I figured i would join and post up to answer any questions.

My web page is outdated right now. new times in sig

I found the thread that was linking back, back when i was running 12.0-12.5 with a dyno of 456 RWHP 509 RWTQ

the times that wehre post left out the 60 foot times 1.9 to 2.3 resulting in slower trap speeds.

That motor had a defective intake valve the the head broke off while idleing and well, it blew lol

the 60 foot was due to slow spool, becuase my header flange warped on my old turbo kit and looked like this () lol (didn't notice till i had the header off, this kit was "under the K" type)

the new motor has little better heads and p/p intakes same bottom end

new turbo kit is custom forward headers using same turbo.

right now i blew a head gasket (common on these 8 stud motors ) and am upgrading injecotors to 79/lb hour vise 60lb/hour)

you can see more update pics here

http://www.fquick.com/garages/Chevro...maro/1997/125/

and video here

http://www.fquick.com/videos/viewvideo.php?id=6534

i have other videos also you can see how slow the spool was on the old setup lol

before someone asks how much money, i have alot more invested into this then if you biult it today. becuase of upgrading stuff as things came out.when i started cams where not yet made for these motors.

motor $5000 (included everything even head work and shipping) less if you can put it together yourself, when this was done i didn't have the space)

turbo kit $3000-4000 (to make my numbers)

trans $1000-$3000 (pending who biulds its, mine is rossler) and stall (4600 for mine)

rear $700 my ten bolt is fine so far, eaton w/3.42s and TA cover

fuel system ~700 (2 walbros in tank and injectors)

future plans are trans brake for the 4l60e (from rossler) and 12 bolt.

but first i'm going to try and get my 10.99

Agree, not sure what the delay is with TS getting us back to the new/old design. Guess I could PM him real quick and see what's going on.

Only in the sense of third and fourth gens, midway through the second gens there's a lot of differences.
