Re: ratty '49 chevy pickup

I would probably have appreciated your work on this model if I wasn't still wondering what such a Nazi Sign - Templar cross was the Nazi officers sign !! - does on this (apparently non military and btw even not german) car model ??!!??
Are you aware of that ??
Because I'm so affraid it could (maybe involuntarily) mean something that I can only see that when I'm looking at the model...

Re: ratty '49 chevy pickup

I think that is a Maltese Cross - ala Jesse James and other bike builders:

Re: ratty '49 chevy pickup

exactly, it's part of the rat rod world too since you can buy stuff like mirrors on the moon eyes web site. it's not for nazi, don't worry!

the cross came with the kit. there's like 10 of them in the sticker sheet. i just printed a bigger one

Re: ratty '49 chevy pickup

That's very strange in fact that such sign also is part of westcoastshoppers ones...
But maltese cross can't be changed or forbidden only because used by nazi officers...
I was probably too sensitive to this symbol wondering how it ended on a car model decals sheet but now at least I know westcoastshoppers use it...
btw it's also used by a medical help fundation, a kind of red cross...
Sorry for my post, forget it if you think such wonder was stupid.
I may have kept it for me.
subject is not my philosophical wonders but your very good model !

Re: ratty '49 chevy pickup

i thought the iron cross meant that it was given for valor in the german army?? ehh who cares, it totally means nothing here. only that your cool if you have one..

the truck looks great, very nice weathering job.
