97 ford escort wont start (strange problem)

when i turned key to acc. position, my radio, my signal light, my wipers works but when i turned key to on position only the headlights work...its like you disconnect the battery but my headlights still work. Other day, my car start then on rainy days when i put my wipers on (the moment im touching wipers switch)... its stall

What you describe actually sounds pretty normal... perhaps your battery needs a charge? GO to a shop and have then check your battery and alternator. If they are good and you are having trouble starting the car then you might have something wrong with the ignition.

The headlights don't work through the ignition switch so they should work no matter where the key is positioned. I think you have a bad ignition switch.
