b16a2 and V-AFC

I drive a 96 del sol with the B16A2. When I bought the car it had a few extras. A DC Sports 4 to 1 header, AEM ram air intake, and a Apex V-tech Air Flow Converter. 2 weeks ago, the V-AFC was stolen. The car now idles higher than normal, lags in power, and is sloooooooooow! I did turn the distributor cap up 2 nothces which helped with the lag a little. I need to know what I should do to return my car back to good running order. Thanks for any advice.

you should try removing the harnes for the vafc and connect any wires that are cut. i know that when you install the vafc you have to cut the vtec solenoid wirre in half so that the vafc could intercept the vtec signal. is the vtec working? if not then connect the wire back together and it should work.

Dude thats easy. Assuming they werent nice enough to rewire the ecu back to stock when they were done stealing, then you need to. The vafc intercepts the VTEC, VTM, and MAP signal from the engine, modiefies it, and then sends to the ecu. Pull your ECU out and look at where you stock harness was cut and spliced. Join the stock wires back together and you should be in good shape. If you arent goint to replace it, the might as well pull all the other wires out too that were just tapped off factory wires.
