Jimmy signal light sticks

I have a 1994 gmc jimmy and when the head lights are on the left turn signal stays on but it still blinks when its supposed to and when the head lights are off its fine does the head light switch play a part in the turn signals or is it something else? thank you too anyone who responds

Bulb stays lit when head lites on? check for bad bulb(bridged filament)or bad ground (other bulbs will back feed thru circuit to good ground)

also the turn signal light stays on on the dash sorry i forgot to put that in the original message
