Nice action view with the wheel standing launch.

Re: next project

Hey there Blip..GB thanks for your words. I realized today while working on it.. at least i think that the rear 1/4 panel was too long behind the wheelwell.. especially on that angle. so i shortened it up and started on the wheels.. also touched up a few other minor details... i think it looks better with the shorter rear end though... when i am done this car my dad's malibu is next. I know GB loves Malibus....

Re: next project

this is a good piece overall

I might make the side window reflections more horizontal, but other than that I see great improvement.

Don't forget wheel well shadows.

Thumbs up

Re: next project

I like

now cast a shadow in the wheel wells. Down over the top of the tires a tad.

The front tire is in the well right? put some shadow over it. It will give the drawing depth.

try it

good job

Re: next project

I must say.. its a little hard laying a shadow on top of BLACK.. I think I may have something here... whether its adequate or not.. I will let you decide for me..thanks Lemorris!...

Re: next project

It is tricky

I don't know what program you're using.

I took your drawing into photoshop (please forgive, just did it to explain what I'm talking about) anyway

I took it into Photoshop and then made a new layer.

I drew the shapes using the pen tool on paths then right button clicked and made the paths a selection. Then set my gradient tool to foreground to transparent. Then just dropped in a quick gradient

Hope this illustrates it a bit better for you. The shadows may be a bit too big in this case, but the thicker the shadow the more recessed the wheels look. You can even go in and airbrush the edges even harder and get some real pop.

Re: next project

The wheel detailing looks great.

For "drop shadows," I add them by using a black to clear gradient, and if needed,
I'll play around with reducing the "opacity/transparency" of the gradient fill.

Here's a quick try using my technique--outlined in red, there's many way to create this effect.
(Had to lay another set of speed lines over the shadows.)
Hope this helps a bit.

Edit: I see somebody else answered it too.

Re: next project

Hey there... Blip... Lemorris.. I understand better now what you meant. Sorry it takes me awhile sometimes... i see the shadow over the whole wheel and tire... I should have thought a little more about it.. i would realize the shadow would hit EVERYTHING below the fender...lol.. maybe i was really tired?... anyways..thanks again...
