My wife's 1992 La Sabra Is reading security .. If will not let the engine start. Our Battery had a short circut in it . we ran an analysis on the the computore at Car Care that is what it told us. So it seems something has changed our key system to start the car. What can I do? I have the inserts from the keys when it was new.will these have the correct code to read the system and start the car?

Welcome to AF, not clear what is happening here, this security lockout occured after you replaced the battery? These keys have the resistor chip in them correct?
