Lighting problems
Ok I dont know if anyone can help me on this but the other day my 2001 Jimmy factory foglights stoped working as well as the warning buzzer to tell the occupants that the headlights are still on. I know that this is not a big problem but it is annoying. I have checked the fuse and the bulbs for the foglights and have considered that it may be the relay switch but i am reall not sure what it might be other than the fuse and the bulbs which appear to be fine. any insights or ideas on hot to fix this little annoying problem would be greatly appriciated. thanks in advance

Get a good wiring diagram and check it for where it is losing power.
Double check both sides of all fuses for it. Start at fog light switch. Does it have 12 volts to it? Does the indicator come on when it is switched on? If power and working the indiacator light should come on? Fog light switch switches relay on and then sends power to fog lights? Does the relay have fuse power ? Does it trip when fog switch on orswitch turned on? Does it send 12 volts onto fog lights? Let us know what you find.

Alright this is where i am at now everything seems to be getting power that was mentioned above. I have been doing additional research though and saw that the light on buzzer as well as the fog lights are both controled through the Body Control Module and I was wondering if ther is a way to reset this unit myself (to see if it changes anything) before i replace it? Oh i should also mention that i noticed the light in the ashtray no longer comes on either. I dont know if this helps with the diagonosis of my truck or not but thanks for all the help, you guys have been great

Does the fog light indicater come on when they are switched on.
Does fog light relay trip when fog lights are switched on. Get a good wiring diagram and trace out the circuit.
