Sputters under load~
I have a 95 Grand Cherokee 4.0 4x4 automatic and it sputerrs and bucks around the 1-3k rpm range .In neutral it revs up fine.And the service engine light reads too.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First have the "Service Engine" code read. That could help narrow it down. Secondly barring that start with the basics on the fuel system i.e. filter replacement, check fuel pressure with key on engine off fuel leak down after key turned off, fuel pressure at idle and while driving if you can aquire a pressue gage. Post back any progress.

Yeah i checked for codes and only 55 came up which means car is good.I wil change the fuel filter and post back.Thanks

How many miles? Has it quit on you, or shifted funny at any time?
