'02 Blazer Whinning

Hey all, my 2WD Blazer has a whinning sound coming from the engine compartment. It gets louder as I accelerate. Could it be the idler pulley or power steering pulley? How would you diagnose? Thanks for all your help!

Re: '02 Blazer Whinning

You need to raise the hood and get a general idea where it is making noise.
Does it change with MPH or engine RPM?

Is it a growl or whine or rubbing noise or gear noise?
Is PS fluid level good?

Re: '02 Blazer Whinning

It's more of a whine. The PS fluid is good and it gets louder as the MPH/RPM increase. It's too hard to determine exactly where the noise is coming from.

We can not hear it over the net,
So you are going to have to help.
Listen and feel around for the generalo area it is coming from.
Doe it increase with engine speed RPM or MPH?
