Random idle issue. Replaced Iacv.

I have been having a problem where suddenly when idling my truck will start trying to die and will barely move. I have done the wires, plugs, cap, rotor and IAC valve. Anybody ever have this problem?

Re: Random idle issue. Replaced Iacv.

Just went through this issue. My truck would idle well some days and others it would not idle at all, very frustrating. The 1st thing I did was to remove the idle air valve and clean it but it did not help so I changed out the TPS sensor but that also did not do it. I gave it a break for a couple of days then when i had some free time i decided to change my oil. Well when i was pouring the oil in the filler tube I seen the PVC valve on the side of the tube (ding ding) of cource that could be the issue I then took off my oil cap and
ran the car for 1.5 day with no oil cap (there is a flap on the inside of the oil funnel that will not allow oil to blow back) to allow more air to get in.

Had no issue what so ever during that time i went to the auto zone and bought the PCV valve for $ 5.00 bucks and have had no more issues. Even getting some of the hair back that I pulled out trying to fix this issue.
