WIP: Hasegawa Ferrari 250 TR

Here's my version of Hasegawa's wonderful kit of the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. I guess this is not so much a WIP thread (that is, not a step-by-step build update) as a preview of my nearly completed build. I'm using Hasegawa's photoetch wheel set and KA Models' detail set, both of which I highly recommend. This is my first attempt using so much pe stuff and the build was meant to test and improve my modeling skills.

The paint is a mix of Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red and TS-11 Maroon, which I'm calling Italian Chocolate. The lipstick treatment is TS-7 Racing White. I mixed a couple of Tamiya acrylics for the interior tan. I've used metalizers here and there, and Alclad Chrome and Polished Aluminum also.

So far, so good. I've run into no real problems and everything is coming together nicely. This is a great kit.

Comments, suggestions, and criticisms welcomed.

Very nice start!
I like the color you mixed for the body as well as for the interior.
The engine looks really good too.
Keep it up and keep us updated!

Nice looking, I like the idea of the "lipstick"-paint job.

Your idea to attach Ferrari-badges to the wheel-nut-centers is something that I should have thought of, when building mine...well.

Cheers

The Ferrari badges on the knock-offs was just a lark, but I liked how it looked so I kept them on.

I'm about finished with this one and so will post it in the completed section sometime next week.

Thanks for the comments, everybody.
