AC/Defroster Issue - '00 Altima
On my '00 Altima, whenever I run my windshield defroster, the AC compressor always gets turned on. This is true even when I de-select the 'AC' button on my control panel, and even occurs when I move the temperature setting all the way to HOT! Is this a normal occurance? I'm baffled!

Yes, this is normal. It keeps the compressor cycled thru the winter months. If you turn off the ignition then it will not come back on until you select defrost again.
