2004 GP: AC intermitant won't turn off

The AC light and compressor cycle on and off. All vent selections and heat settings. Stops when fan is off. Pushing the "snowflake" button makes no difference. Looking for an opinion before I replace the da$h module. oops I meant 2004... the 2000 needs a bearing i was just searching for - I got that one.
