2000 Windstar Door Lock Actuator

2000 Ford Windstar: OK, I can get the door skin off ( 5 minutes), but I cannot figure out how to get the driver's door lock actuator out to replace it. I removed the electical connection, and unscrewed the latch from the door to get better access to the actuator (not much). I don't want to break anything by being too agressive and yanking on things like the metal rod that connects to the actuator.

Any suggestions?

I have the same question. The replacement actuator has a vertical plastic tab in front that must slide into a guide. No idea how to remove the broken actuator.
Did you ever get an answer or get it resolved?
