1997 chevy 4x4

I have a 1997 chevy 4x4. While driving it it acts like it cuts out just for a split second. It has a little jerk like it is the transmision or the engine missing out. It does it all the time. I put new fuel injectors, spark plug wires, and distibuter cap. Did not help. Anybody have any ideas?

Got check engine light? You might still have codes stored as history...

Split second miss is likely not the tranny, but spark. How does it idle when warm?

The engine idles fine whether it is cold or warm. The only time it has the split second miss is while going down the road. It does do it more when the engine is cold, less after it is warmed up. I have not had the check engine light checked.

Go to Advance / Zone bright 'n' early, and get the scan free. Get the ignition module tested too free. Take a screwdriver, unplug it (usually 2 screws), and remove it when you get there. Be careful to not remove too much of the heat sink grease on the back of it. Leave as much on the mounting surface as possible (not CRUCIAL THO').

Post up results.
