Dummy Blow off Valve???

Is there such a thing as a dummy blow of valve? Something that makes the noise of the blow off valve but nothing more. I friend of mine said he was going to get one, and I had no idea what he was talking ab.

Re: Dummy Blow off Valve???

That's just silly. I think you can get some goofy speaker thing on e-bay, but nothing will actually make a real BOV noise like a BOV, you'd have to have charged air line to make the BOV pop. Without a source of boost, you can't do it.

Re: Dummy Blow off Valve???

i have a solution

Step1: find a busy street
Step2: step out in front of the biggest and fastest moving vehicle you can find
Step3: have a nice day

Re: Dummy Blow off Valve???

i think this is what you want but ever since i saw this on the internet i look at the mufflers of cars that sound boosted and guess what.....half of the cars i look at have these clip things hanging out of the them where they bolted the fake blow off valve on, so i just look at them then look at the muffler and laugh while i walk away. they are left feeling like an idiot and you leave knowing your car can beat the shit out of theres.

Re: Dummy Blow off Valve???

Gayest thing ever, they have one that you clamp onto your muffler and they also sell a horn/speaker system that you mount under your hood and the BOV sound comes out of the horn. And it actually cost over $100. It's shit like that, that really pisses me off. And people considering getting something like that shouldn't be doing anything to a car except driving it from point A to point B and nothing more. Your friend's an idiot.

Re: Dummy Blow off Valve???

I know there is something like and you can find them on ebay 5 dollars. Just type turbo whistler.************I don't recomended, it doesn't sound like a real BOV. It doesn't make the pop sound that you may be looking for.************
