91 Lumina PLEASE HELP

I have a 91 Lumina I replaced the turn switch and flasher. Still no turn lights. Also the other day I went to work when I left the car would no stay running. Unless I used the throttle. I turned the adjuster that moves the throttle about 3 turns as a quick fix. Any ideas how to fix the car would be great help.

Re: 91 Lumina PLEASE HELP

the running issue could be the throttle position sensor but as sor the turn signals there might be a small fuse panel behind the glove box or under the drivers side dash. Otherwise the fuse panel under the hood might have a corroded wire under the panel.

Re: 91 Lumina PLEASE HELP

Checked the fuses under the dash and in the glove box. Every once in a while if I try the turn signals it will flash about three times and stop. No matter what I do after that I cann't get them to do it any more. They have a mind of there own.

Re: 91 Lumina PLEASE HELP

Your car has two flasher units. One for the hazards (mounted in the fuse box) and one for the turn signals (mounted under the dash on or near the steering column). Did you change the right one?

The idle issue is most likely a dirty/carboned up IAC valve or a bad TPS sensor (as suggested above).
