95 s10 transmission problems

i recently bought a 95 s10 from a friend that needed a transmission.so i got a trans from a 94 and put it in and when i put it in second gear it jumps back out and grinds when i put it back in. it has a new clutch and slave cylinder and the clutch lets out right on the floor. if could help i would appreciate it
