putting a VW rim on a Honda - will it work?

I have 14" rims off a 95 VW Jetta that I would like to put on a 92 Honda Civic. The bolt pattern is the same but the center hole on the VM rim is 57.1 mm and it is 56.1mm on the Honda. Will this one mm of difference cause a problem?

Thanks for your help.

Possibly.

I presume that since the VW uses bolts, not lug nuts, you will use the Honda nuts.

Are the Honda lug nuts tapered? Is the angle of the taper the same? When you install the VW rims, is there still some taper left exposed? Is the rim offset the same as the Honda?

If it's yes to all these questions, you are good to go. Just make sure the Honda lug nuts do not bottom out against the rotor as you tighten the nuts.

You'll need a spigot ring for the difference in the size of the hub spigot.
