Lightly tuned Skyline R32

Hey guys,

Wanted to do a really quick build (this took about 2.5 days) because I was getting bored/tired of my other ones I have in progress. I haven't completed a car build in a while too, so wanted to get back into the swing of things, and also to test out my new polishing kit.

Primered in white, hood painted black:

Adding cf decal to the hood is so much easier when the hood comes seperately... (photo shows after 1 or 2 coats of Smoke)

Metallic Red

Then I cleared over the body and completed the chassis whilst it was drying. Chassis is painted Metallic Red over grey primer with black lightly airbrushed over, with more going on the drivetrain tunnel and wheel wells. Fuel tank asks for German Grey but as I don't have any, I used grey primer then some light coats of Smoke....then masked off the two braces to be sprayed black. I think it turned out really well. Suspension detail has been dry brushed with silver. Engine is from the bottom half of a Tamiya Z-Tune, mated with the R32 suspension because I used it in my previous Z-Tune (see signature). There's a slight gap between the gearbox and engine .

Carbon fibre decal on wing (Fujimi Wing & Muffler Set).

Brakes painted gold. I wanted to swap them out for the Z-Tune brakes but was rushing and couldn't be bothered modifying them to fit.

Not the best, but far better than my previous builds. It's so hard trying to avoid getting my fingerprints on it.

I'm glad to have a polishing kit added to my tools now but I'm still learning with it. I'm always afraid of burning through the paint. Also I've learnt that micro-gloss is a fingerprint magnet . I would've liked to have changed the wheels, but I don't have any spare at the moment, lol but let me know what you guys think.
