Would anyone recommend a 2002 Park Ave?

I'm looking at one with 66k miles on it in very good condition at the price of $6900. Is this a good buy?

LOL....you remembered

Actually, that was going to be for the wife. Through researching on MSN Auto i found out the the better year model of Lesabre is 2004/ 2005. No issues on these year Lesabre models.

As for my 98 Lesabre pictured in my signature below the water leak has returned. there's a leak in the firewall behind the gas pedal coming from the irrigation pathway below the windsheild wipers. Also, the canvas top all around the back window is all roughed up as do all canvas tops this age get.

I like my 01 park. Bought it three years ago at 32K now has 75k. Replaced tires and brakes, rear air shocks, rubber rotted, front struts, michigan roads, just changed the water pump and switched to global coolant. It has been a good car for me, low 20 mpg around town 29 or so on the highway, with a heavy foot.

Global Coolant? Does this engine also have the upper intake manifold melt down problem as well?

The manifold problem was supposed to be solved a year or two before....but you know they call it death cool for a reason! I mean heck the pump was off so I drained the block and changed it out, it certainly can not hurt. I am just thinking....$20.00 for global coolant...and get the death cool out of it.

Re: Would anyone recommend a 2002 Park Ave?

Well, I went to the dealer "Nissan World" in Springfield NJ yesterday morning to check out the PA and they had raised the price exactly $2,000 higher than what it was listed as on their website. I then said, okay, I have this check that your store had mailed me this week for $1850.00 off on a car at your dealership. The manager said that it was only for new cars. So I then pointed out to him that it says "New" or "used" car. He looked at it and then said that it's only on select vehicles in which are not already discounted. I said "Have a nice day"

Nissan World in Springfield NJ is as dishonet and conniving as a car dealer could get. I warn anyone in New Jersey not to shop for a car there.

Re: Would anyone recommend a 2002 Park Ave?

Oh yeah, almost forgot.....

We ended up finding a 2002 Century Custom with the Concert 2 stereo package with the radio controls on the steering wheel, Dual climate control, and power seats with 68,000 miles on it for $4900

The car is in very good condition. We put a deposit down to hold the car and we will be picking it up next Saturday. The Sales Rep even told me that they are going to detail it for us this week

actually the car is for my wife and she prefers cloth over leather. Besides, we're moving to Las Vegas next year. Leather and 110 degree weather do not mix
