I have a 84 with the 4cly 4 speed. Changed out the fuel pump, filter, new battery cables ect. When I go turn the key just the dash light comes on and pump primes itself. But the it will not turn over no clicking or anything. Had that started tested at advanced auto and autozone and it passed. Please help with this one. Thanks

Re: 1984 won't start

may be the wiring to the starter. IF you took the starter out to test it and it was good then it is probably the wiring. thats just my guess good luck.

Loose battery connection, starter selinoid, starter motor are some things to check.

Thanks for your help.... She is alive!!!!!!!!!! it was the starter switch, and the starter itself. The bean bags at the parts store tested the starter wrong. Again thanks for your help
