alternator question
I just replaced the alternator today, but the battery still seems to be running low. Is this normal? Should I just let it sit for awhile, or hook up a charger to it? The battery is not even 3 weeks old.

When you mean the battery is running low, do you mean it has low voltage?
Is the alternator working? What ampage does it put out (there should be a stamp on the case of the alternator)? If everything above is check out OK, I would say it is probably the wire connected from the alternator output terminal to the battery is loose or disconnected somehow.

the voltage meter in the car is reading very low.
the battery is brand new. the car seemed to be charging right after we put in the alternator at 13 volts. now its way down again, with no a/c radio on. Quote:
