should I be Worried about LIM on 2003 GT?

I just bought my daughter a 2003 GT 3.4 with 50K miles. Should I be worried about LIM gasket? no signs of leaks but after reading posts on here im concerned... do they all go bad?

Re: should I be Worried about LIM on 2003 GT?

GM used redesinged gaskets on the LIM half way between 03 and carrying on to 05, its the 99-02 ones you have to watch out for if they havent had it replaced yet with a felpro.

your 03 may have the dreaded issues to come or it may not, no real way to tell, might be able to find out with the vin or something but really just check your oil and coolant frequently for any milkshakey looking stuff

Welcome to AF JJWELLS !

As jackpot said keep an eye on your levels!
Your 03 3.4 was probley assembled in 02 or have the faulty gaskets & torqu procedures.

I think even the new GM or Fel pro gaskets would leak if you dont follow the updated torque specifications.

I have even seen 03 and newr Alero's , Grand am's & Malibu's with these faulty gaskets.
