Noise following front brake job

2002 Astro AWD

About two weeks ago I replaced my front pads and had the rotors turned. And about one week ago I started hearing a noise from them when braking with light to moderated pedal pressure. Sometimes the sound is very regular as if related to the rotating hub/rotor. And sometimes it appears more random or eratic.

If this sounds familar to anyone can you clue me in to the problem and/or solution you encountered?

I have removed the wheels and examined brakes, only to find the caliper pins are tight. The pad clips are very snug and holding them in place. I can grab the caliper with my hands and slide it a little. This brake job was the first time I have used that quieting goop that you spread on the back of the pad that goes against the piston.

All input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Donny Baugh

Re: Noise following front brake job

see if its a problem after the brakes get warmed up.it maybe a bad rotor or machined improperly.
