I have a '02 Tahoe and I need to replace the rear brakes. Aslo, I need to replace the Park break bands. Can someone help in advising which brand is best for replacing brakes. Do I need to have the chvy dealer change them and overcharge me??????

i replaced my '01 tahoe rear disc pads with autozone duralast gold pads (ceramic) $53.00 lifetime warranty . good quality brakes. i have used them for the last 3 years. * the parking brakebands can be purchased at an auto parts store also, not just from the dealer. i got them from the local national auto parts store.had to order them for next day delivery... expect to pay about $ 80.00 for them ..they are not cheap. but you also don't replace them very often......everything can be installed in an afternoon. have fun......opcorn:exwldr.......

Anything made by AutoZone is junk and their lifetime warranty on their brake pads is one time use only.AutoZone including Advanced only cares about the lowest price and skips on quality on their parts.Wagner Quiet stops are the best choice over Duralast pads.I would not recomend auto parts from AutoZone or Advanced.

yah i know about auto zones parts are sometimes bad like i got a waterpump i put on my elcamino and took it back off and it had holes rust threw or sand blasted it when rebuilding it. but i got a guy at car quest i get most my parts at. but i did buy a starter there for m s-10 and i've crank and crank on it and still going strong.
