Unhappy Help with a 93' Ford Thunderbird Shift Handle

Greetings all! Does anyone know how to remove the automatic shift handle on a 1993 Ford Thunderbird? I have heard different things and want to see if anyone knows how in the forum. I don't want to follow the wrong instructions!!

Thanks so much!
