windows problems
I came outside today to find my rear driver window halfway down, ive had trouble rolling it up and down anyway so i never touch it, so I found it strange. I went to roll it up and nothing happened, I got out and grabbed the window and I can pull it up and down freely. After I pulled it back to the top, I could roll it up a little more, but it still doesnt come up all the way without some help, and I can still move it up and down freely with my hands.
Does this sound like a regulator failure? I know thats a common thing in these cars.

Re: windows problems
Has to be the regulator. Looks like you have a lot of fun ahead of you...

Re: windows problems
I guess I should say some cliche' phrase now like " I love to embrace new challenges" or some crap like that.
So its definitely the regulator? Is there any way the window could have fallen off its track? Or is that essentially what the regulator is?

Re: windows problems
Ok, just tore it all apart, I see how it works now. Its definitely the regulator, I cant see exactly what isnt working right, but the motor works fine, so it has to be the regulator.
Ordering a new one as I type, right at 50 bucks with a motor, but I dont really need the motor, so I might dig a little deeper to find one without a motor.

Re: windows problems
Just thought I would update this:
Received the new regulator and motor assembly today and installed it, everything works fine now. Installation was pretty easy and straightforward. I removed the door panel before the parts even got here, so the regulator installation probably didnt take 15-20 minutes. I will say, that you should probably get new door panel clips if youre a rough person like myself. Because I ended up breaking a few of them, so the panel doesnt fit on as snugly as it should. But, at this point I dont want to tear it all apart again.
