Stage two install (pictures)

Ok, so the OUT OF COMMISSION in my signature is about a little problem we had installing stage two. We tried something a little different to get the pulley off as we didnt have access to a puller at the time. Turns out, that method smashed the main rod that turned the SC screws. It bashed it down farther than its suppossed to be. So we took the snout off and smashed it back out, witch popped a seal and all the oil came out

So we eventually got it fixed, lots of hammering and such. But I found out that my heat exchanger pump is broken, so the car isnt 100% due to the crazy heatsoak I get. But I can drive it, as long as I dont get too happy with the gas pedal! Here are some pictures of the process.

Got everything pulled out except the fuel rail.

Stock stuff and the M62

We had a few leaks...

took the snout off to fix the rod. Thats what the inside of the SC looks like

and now the good part... this is how we tried to get the pulley off without a puller. That's TorchedStealth with the sledge hammer... I hung off the SC and pulled while he hit a bit into the middle of the pulley.

Re: Stage two install (pictures)

LMFAO!!! I cant believe thats the way you attemted to pull that pulley... I got my pulley pulley from ZZP for 100 dollars and swapped my pulley in under an hour...

100 dollar puller would have been alot better than all that I'm sure...

Good luck on the rebuild...

Re: Stage two install (pictures)

see, im a cheap bastard. I like weird, complex, and highly inefficient ways to do things. We got it off, stage two is in and the car is running strong. I just get MAD heatsoak. So hopefully the dealer can get me one in a hurry, I need to rod the piss out of this thing.

By the way, a video of WHAT? driving it?

Re: Stage two install (pictures)

ive done so many stage 2 installs now i could prolly do the whole thing in 30 mins. Last weekend i did two in the street.

But glad you like the stage 2 with 2.9. I highly suggest you get a cooling mod, IE second heat exchanger, coolant resevoir, or dual pass. It helps alot with the 2.9 heat soak and overall performance.

Re: Stage two install (pictures)

Would you recommend that before exhaust mods?
