Thanks for taking the time and effort for updating and revising this.

Here is a good site to see the status of the Democratic and Republican Primaries and Caucuses:

Republican Party

Democratic Party

Re: AF U.S Presidential Poll! (Pt. 2)

When did Alan Keyes throw his hat in the ring?

On a side note, I voted for Obama. I can't in my right mind vote for Hillary, who has been so inconsistent with where she stands it drives me insane. If she ends up getting the democratic nod, I'll be giving my vote to John McCain (I'm a moderate, by the way).

Re: AF U.S Presidential Poll! (Pt. 2)

I recall reading something about Keys in the race but possibly only the Boston Globe has any annotation of it. He has a big zero.

In Texas we vote March 4. Winner takes all for Republican, 140 delegates. For Demo 228 delegates at stake awarded proportionally.

Re: AF U.S Presidential Poll! (Pt. 2)

I still want Ron Paul, but it's not looking so good now. If it comes down to hillary or McCain, as it now appears it may, I will be voting for McCain.

I hope I'm not the only one that finds it funny that Hillary is the best thing for the republican party and Barack is the best thing for the Dems.

Re: AF U.S Presidential Poll! (Pt. 2)

This years election, is by far the strangest I've ever seen.

Not real sure if any of them are going to be any better, or any worse then the previous presidents.
IMO It just boils down to who can talk shit better and who's the best bluffer .

Just be glad I'm not running for office !

McCain is going to be good for the democrats. He'll never be able to motivate the bulk of conservatives to his cause.

In the end, I see McCain winning this election. He even looks like he should be on a coin.

Re: AF U.S Presidential Poll! (Pt. 2)

Never say never. .....

As usual the Conservatives will resolve their issues regarding McCain and rally behind his inevitable nomination. Even swing voters and Moderates may vote for him in November. I prefer the days of Reagan. Republican Prez with a Demo Congress in the majority.

Be that as it may, I still see many left-leaning moderates possibly voting for McCain if Hillary gets the democratic nomination. While he isn't the most popular choice for the conservatives, she's not exactly a shining star on the democratic side that is taking the election by storm.

Re: AF U.S Presidential Poll! (Pt. 2)

McCain is about the worst thing for the Democrats because of his percieved moderate positions. Truth be told, most Americans consider themselves to be moderates. Once the primaries are over, you will see both of the candidates moving towards the middle and proclaiming thier middle-of-the-road stances to try to get these people. McCain is hated by the far right (Coulter, Rush, etc), which will make him more attractive and easier to vote for by the average American. He is already close to the middle of the political spectrum, Clinton is pretty far to the left right now and would have a hard time coming back to the center.

According to CNN polling, McCain is the closest Republican candidate to beating Obama in a national election and he is the only Republican candidate (including Romney, Thompson, and Guiliani) that beats Clinton. While his stances on campaign finance reform and immigration hurt him in the Republican primaries, they help him much more with moderates and independents.

Classically red states will still vote for McCain, classically blue states will vote for the Democratic candidates, and it will all probably come down to Florida, Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

Re: AF U.S Presidential Poll! (Pt. 2)

Isn't the majority Democrats now ?

We Need some sort of balance to the system.
I'm still flip flop on the whole bunch.

I sure dont want CLinton or Obama, and Huckabee didnt they make a movie the Huckabee's .. ?

And then that Ron Paul, he gives me creepy bad vibes.
Kinda like that uncle who likes to take you into the back room and read stories.

What happens if no one votes ??

Re: AF U.S Presidential Poll! (Pt. 2)

Little blurb in our local paper today about the results of our local voting numbers in our county this past Super Tuesday. Seems that both Clinton and Obama received exactly 6,001 votes each That goes to show you how important each and every vote is. I can't believe how many elections in our area have been decided by only a few votes, with some results changed to the other side after the absentee and military ballots are counted. Never noticed this happening so much before in elections over the past 20 or so years, just within the past few years.
