2009 project

ok im finally getting another daily driver....
so that means the eclipse is going to become my full on project car....
motor should be started by mid summer. ill be sure to keep you guys posted with plenty of pics.
anyone want to add advice on a situation im stuck on....
nitrous or turbo for a 1/8 mile track.
id prefer to stay with the 420a engine. just wandered if anyone else had built either and if they had how hard it was to find the parts.....
also if i decide to go with both can anyone reccomend a compression ratio that would work for the setup

Re: 2009 project

8.0 or 8.3 probably best for ya.
I say turbo but i'm biased.
Nitrous is cheaper but turbo is limitless

Re: 2009 project

I say go turbo. Your going to have to build the motor either way. Go with an 8.8:1 CR or so. You can always runs nitrous on a boosted motor you just have to be careful.

Re: 2009 project

The best thing to do is research, research, research. Find out what all, turboing your car will consist of, and then decide what you want to do.

Re: 2009 project

I built the kit. Its much cheaper than buying a kit and you end up with a better setup.

Re: 2009 project

what did you have to do to your internals to get them to handle boost?
