2000 Venture not starting

Help!!! My van wont start. I checked the battery, the fuel and it was working yesterday. What else could it be? It sounds like it wants to start.

Re: 2000 Venture not starting

I am assuming that the engine will crank over just not start because you said that it acts like it wants to start. So that means that everything in the starting circuit should be ok but don't crank the engine too much or you'll kill the starter and possibly the battery also.Since you said that it was running fine before this happened we can probably assume that it is not an ignition circuit issue because it would probably run rough or miss when driving. That leaves a possible fuel problem. This may not be the most recommended way to diagnose the problem but what I do when I run into a problem like this is take the intake rubber hose loose from the air filter box and spray alittle starting fluid into the throttle body and then see if it starts. If it does then I would start by replacing your fuel filter and try it again. If this doesn't help then you probably have a bad fuel pump or maybe a bad fuel relay.Hope this helps.
