How to read codes on 1988 Accord LXI?

Hello, I'm going over to a friends house tomorrow to work on his 88 accord. I know you can read the codes on it but how? If possible could someone also give me a link for a codes list? Thanks...

Re: How to read codes on 1988 Accord LXI?

On my son's 95 you need to remove a glove box and find a blue connector mounted on the side of the car. Shorten two terminals and count "check engine" light flushes.

I use Haynes for codes. Post it here and I will look it up for you. Or just google for the code.

Good luck,

Sam
