what is the pm6 ecu, what car did it come out of ?

because the ecu that came with my ls motor says pm6

anyone know if running the pm6 ecu with my ls is bad because thats the ecu the guy said he was running, so it must work but since its made for the sohc do you think its runnin lean or soemthign. idk could anything be wrong with running this on my ls

It will run an obd0 LS engine but the fuel and timing maps for the sohc are not optimal for the LS. I have always been a firm believer that you should run the proper ecu or something comparable rather than opting for the cheaper route of using an ecu that will not optimally run the engine. Just my 2 cents

Yea, use the teg ECU.... chip it for better fuel maps if u have all the bolt ons........
