Acts of despiration with Oil Crud

Thank you mmcleo11 for your insite as you are correct about the design of the oil
pick up having a reason that being for oil surge. I have out of desperation
and lack of tools fixed the problem so far by means of running 2 litters of transmission fluid in with motor oil to break down crud for 2.5 hours and then fitted a high pressure vacume cleaner to the rocket cover and removing oil pump to suck crud back into the Sump from oil pick up " I let the Vacume run for about an hour" and using a simular sort of set up but with 5mm clear plastic tubing with wire inside of it to bend tubing to shape then connected it to a plastic bottle to act as a crud catcher and then a vacume cleaner, to clean sump via sump plug.
I have changed and filtered the oil 3 times and removed 2.5 cups
of crud. So far its all clear and all working well. It has taken a few hours
but a little less hardship when I dont have the tools to do it the right way. thank you for your advise and maybe I need to get some more tools soon. Strop.tgrant aka the despirardo..
